Kalendarz UTV i SxS: najważniejsze rajdy, zawody i targi jesienią 2026

Autumn 2026 is not the end of the season. For the UTV and SxS world, it's three months filled with desert rallies, championship finals, Ultra4 competitions, user events, and trade shows where the industry presents equipment for the coming year.

We have compiled a calendar of events that are truly related to UTVs: through a separate SSV class, entries of Polaris RZRs and Can-Am Mavericks, a series dedicated to SxS, or a clear exhibition section for off-road vehicles and parts. Dates were verified with organizers and federation sources on September 1, 2026.

September: Baja, Ultra4, and the largest sand sports show

September 9–13: SCORE Baja 400 - Ensenada, Mexico

The Baja 400 is the third round of the SCORE World Desert Championship and the most important warm-up before the Baja 1000 in November. In 2026, the organizer set a route of over 420 miles, with UTV teams also at the start. It's a rally where speed must go hand in hand with cooling, driveline durability, and skillful vehicle management over a long distance.

September 9–13: Beech Bend Melee - Kentucky, USA

At the same time, Ultra4 USA moves to Richardsville, Kentucky. The Ultra4 formula combines fast driving with technical terrain, making it particularly interesting for those building heavy off-road machines. Later in September, from September 16 to 20, the series will also host the NorCal Stampede in California.

September 10–13: Baja España Aragón - Teruel, Spain

The Spanish round of the FIA World and European Baja Cup has been moved from July to September due to fire risk. The program includes a full SSV category, making it one of the most important European events for Can-Ams, Polarises, and constructions prepared according to FIA regulations.

The change of date is a good reminder: before each trip, you need to check the organizer's current announcement. In the same season, the Hungarian Baja was postponed without a new date specified after fires in the Várpalota area.

September 12–13: British SxS Championship - Norfolk, Great Britain

The British series is open to all SxS brands. The round in Shouldham Thorpe is one of the last opportunities to see shorter, direct UTV competition before the championship final in October.

September 17–20: Baja TT Sharish Reguengos/Mourão - Portugal

Portugal closes the European Baja season with two strong events. First, competitors will meet in Reguengos de Monsaraz and Mourão. The event is listed in the FIA calendar from September 17 to 20; the sporting part can start after administrative and technical inspection.

September 18–20: Sand Sports Super Show - Costa Mesa, California

This is the event the American UTV scene will be talking about in the autumn. The organizer describes the Sand Sports Super Show as the world's largest sand sports expo. UTV and side-by-side manufacturers, sand rails, ATVs, suspensions, tires, communication, lighting, and driver equipment suppliers meet at the OC Fair & Event Center.

For the Polish public, the most interesting will be the premieres of parts, new vehicle configurations, and solutions that later move from the desert to rallies and fast off-road. The fair is open on Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM local time.

September 28 - October 3: Trail Hero - Utah, USA

Trail Hero shows a different side of the SxS scene. Instead of a classic rally, there are guided trails, rock crawling, meetups, an exhibition area, and the UTV Rampage Rally. The event takes place in the Hurricane and Sand Hollow area, famous for its red sand and rocks.

September 28 - October 3: Rallye du Maroc - Agadir and Zagora, Morocco

The Rallye du Maroc is the fourth round of W2RC 2026 and one of the most important tests before the Dakar. After a prologue in Agadir, competitors head to Zagora, where four loops and a final stage await. The SSV category has its own world championship classification.

This event is worth watching not only for the results. Conditions in Morocco mercilessly show how vehicles cope with temperature, dust, prolonged suspension loads, and navigation.

October: Championship finals and UTV community events

October 9-11: 4×4 Fest - Carrara, Italy

The European equivalent of the autumn off-road festival will be the 4×4 Fest in Marina di Carrara. The exhibition includes cars, motorcycles, quads, special vehicles, parts, technical preparation, overlanding, and 4×4 tourism. For Apex Race 99, this is a good topic for observing European manufacturers and trends other than those dominating in the USA.

October 14–18: Ultra4 USA Nationals - Hazard, Kentucky

The Ultra4 USA season final will take place at the new Thunderdome facility in Kentucky. The organizer is building the event as the beginning of the series' long-term presence in the region. For technical off-road fans, vehicle classes, breakdown rates, and the combination of speed with obstacle crossing will be important.

October 15–18: Laughlin Desert Classic - Nevada, USA

The American Off-Road Racing Championship final uses a spectacular 14-mile loop. On Friday and Saturday, an Off-Road Festival with vehicles, parts, and technologies also operates. The short loop and heat format give viewers more direct action than a classic, hundreds-of-miles-long desert rally.

October 15–17: Baja de Portalegre 500 - Portugal

Portalegre is the final of the FIA European Baja Cup and also a round of the World Baja Cup. In recent editions, the SSV class was among the most numerous, with entries including Can-Am Maverick R and Polaris RZR Pro R. This is the most important European SSV topic in the second half of October.

October 17–18: British SxS Championship final - Northampton

The eighth round of the British series will take place at Fin SXS Land. This is a good time for a summary piece highlighting the differences between sprint SxS racing in the UK, European Bajas, and the Ultra4 formula.

October 20–25: UTV Takeover Sand Hollow - Utah, USA

UTV Takeover is an event built by UTV users for UTV users. The program includes day and night rides, demo rides, drag racing, short course, Huckfest, Wheeliefest, an exhibitor zone, and family activities. Sand Hollow offers over 20,000 acres of terrain with sand, rocks, and reservoir access.

October 23–25: Kalgoorlie Desert Race - Australia

The final of the Australian off-road championships will take place in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia. The organizer foresees approximately 385 kilometers of competition, and the event also counts towards the Motorsport Australia SXS Championship. This is a valuable topic if the "Events" section is to truly extend beyond Europe and North America.

October 28–31: Qatar International Baja

After the European part of the season, the FIA World Baja Cup moves to the Middle East. Qatar opens the final two rounds of the cup, where SSV vehicles are classified separately.

November: Trade shows, Baja 1000, and W2RC final

November 3–6: SEMA Show - Las Vegas, USA

SEMA is not a typical public event. It's an industry trade show for which you need to qualify. In 2026, it will have a separate Powersports & Utility Vehicles section and hundreds of exhibitors in the Trucks, SUVs & Off-Road and Racing & Performance areas. This is where you should look for parts, technologies, new builds, and directions for the aftermarket.

November 3–8: EICMA - Milan, Italy

EICMA is primarily associated with motorcycles, but manufacturers are increasingly showcasing ATVs, UTVs, and SSVs there too. CFMOTO is on the official list of 2026 exhibitors, and during the previous edition, the brand presented, among others, the ZFORCE Z10-4, UFORCE U10 XL PRO Highland, and the electric UFORCE U6 EV. November 3–4 are reserved for media and industry; the public enters from November 5 to 8.

November 5–8: Dubai International Baja

Dubai is the final round of the FIA World Baja Cup. This is another place where it's worth following direct competition in the SSV class and comparing the reliability of constructions after an entire season.

November 9–15: SCORE Baja 1000 - Los Cabos, Mexico

In 2026, the Baja 1000 is scheduled to start and finish in San José del Cabo for the first time, with the route remaining in Baja California Sur. The official race start is scheduled for November 13. For UTVs, it's one of the most prestigious and ruthless tests in the world.

November 22–27: Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge - UAE

The W2RC 2026 season will end exceptionally late. The Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge has been moved to November, and the desert result will also decide titles in the SSV class. After the Rallye du Maroc, teams have just under two months for transport, rebuilding, and preparing their machines for the final.

Which events are most important for the Polish UTV fan?

If we had to pick five events worth watching most closely, we would choose:

  1. Sand Sports Super Show - premieres of vehicles, parts, and technologies from the USA.
  2. Rallye du Maroc - the highest level of world rally-raid and the SSV class.
  3. Baja de Portalegre 500 - the strongest European Baja final.
  4. SCORE Baja 1000 - a legend of desert off-road and an extreme UTV test.
  5. Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge - the W2RC 2026 world championship final.

Going to a rally? First, prepare the entire vehicle

A common denominator is easily seen in the calendar. Regardless of whether the route leads over rocks, sand, fast gravel, or desert, the result depends not only on power. Cooling, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, underbody protection, mounts, and the pre-start inspection procedure all matter.

If you are preparing a Can-Am Maverick R, Maverick X3, Polaris RZR Pro R, or other UTV for a rally or heavy-duty driving, see how UTV preparation for rallies is done at Apex Race 99. The scope is tailored to the route, class, pace, and actual use of the vehicle.
