Echa Dakaru 2026 – Polska szkoła UTV podbija świat

From UTV to T1+ – how the Goczała family and Energylandia Rally Team are writing Dakar 2026 history

January 2026 will go down in Polish motorsport history. We're watching Eryk Goczał (who until recently dominated the UTV/SSV class) win stages in the premier car class (Ultimate), competing against legends like Al-Attiyah and Sainz.

What does this mean for you, UTV owner? The Poles' success at Dakar proves one thing: UTVs are the best rally school . Lightweight SSVs (like the Can-Am Maverick, which the Goczałs started with) teach:

  • Reading the terrain: In a UTV, you feel every bump. You have to choose your driving line more precisely than in a large car.

  • Respect for your equipment: The CVT drive belt is unforgiving. Anyone who learns to protect the belt on a UTV's dunes will be indestructible in a large vehicle.

The Polish footprint in the desert of Dakar 2026 demonstrates that Poland is a hotbed of talent in the lightweight classes. If you dream of the Dakar, your path begins in Poland, in the SSV class. It is here, at the training ground in Drawsko, that the future winners of the Dakar stages are being trained.

Looking at this year's results (January 2026), we have reason to be proud. The Polish UTV driving school is currently the best in the world.
