BAJA POLAND. The 2026 cross-country season kicks off with AKPOL Baja Żagań, and we'll be there!
The winter break is finally coming to an end! This weekend, April 18-19, we are officially opening the 2026 cross-country rally season. The inauguration will take place during the already iconic AKPOL Baja Żagań rally. We are proud to announce that the Apex Race 99 team is joining this event as a partner!
Baja Żagań is not only the first test after winter, but also the beginning of a long championship series, comprising as many as 7 rounds, which will last until chilly November. It is here, in western Poland, that the first sporting directions for the upcoming months will be set.
What can we expect on the track?
Żagań is famous for taking no prisoners. The rally largely takes place on the rigorous terrain of a military training ground and its vicinity. For competitors and their machines, this means one thing: sand, massive potholes, and treacherous bumps. This is terrain that quickly verifies the quality of equipment preparation – and we at Apex Race 99, dealing with vehicle construction and servicing daily, know perfectly well what a great challenge this is!
The turnout is expected to be excellent. We anticipate a total of about 130 crews at the start, including motorcycles, quads, and cars. What pleases us most, however, is that as many as about 50 UTV class vehicles will enter the fight. The competition will therefore be immense, and the battle for fractions of a second will last until the very end.
Apex Race 99 supports rally emotions
As a company with petrol in its veins, we could not remain indifferent to such an important season-opening event. The Baja Poland Foundation has prepared a great calendar for this year, with title sponsor Akpol Recykling at the forefront, and we are delighted that as Apex Race 99 we can support this rally. We know how much sweat and effort goes into preparing a rally car, which is why we are rooting even more strongly for all competitors!
Warm-up before the fight, i.e., the Test Section
Before the racing truly begins on Saturday and Sunday, the organizers have prepared an opportunity to test equipment. This is an ideal chance to "shake off the rust" after the winter break, check suspensions on Żagań's potholes, and finally tune the machines before starting the first special stage.
Test section schedule:
- Friday, April 17: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, April 18: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
